Rings are an art form that commemorate the thresholds that shape us and the changes that unfold each time we choose to step through them.
We look to the natural world for clues about our processes of becoming. Our jewelry is composed of geological materials, is inspired by earthly forces and reminds us that transformation is our natural state. Like our world's most precious materials and miraculous alchemical processes, sacredness develops over time through dedication to ourselves and the people who embrace us.
This is why we are less interested in what we have inherited and more interested in what it is we create from it.
Every ring we make is a practice in translating the thresholds you're crossing into something precious, enduring and honest.
Apse was founded in 2016 by parnters Hayley Boyd and Jarod Faw.
As artists with backgrounds in sculpture and printmaking, we've built apse as a practice to honor the thresholds we ourselves continually move through and the transformations that unfold every time we enter the apse.

OUR PIECES RELY ON ANCIENT AND MODERN JEWELRY FABRICATION TECHNIQUES SUCH AS WAX CARVING, LOST WAX CASTING, SOLDERING, STONE SETTING, CAD RENDERS, 3D PRINTING AND OTHER BENCH JEWELRY FABRICATION PROCESSES.
WE MAKE OUR JEWELRY WITH THE INTENTION TO HONOR THE NUANCE OF THE HUMAN HAND AND EXPERIENCE.

We prioritize small independent miners and gem cutters for their dedication to the mineral and the art of the gemstone.
We use both lab-grown and mined gems and emphasize traceability in our sourcing.
